A major component of ASCD's marketing strategy is print catalogs. Two years ago we developed a new comprehensive catalog explaining ASCD's mission and showcasing all of our many product types in one place. Mailed to our most loyal customers, the ASCD Sourcebook has been a successful marketing piece and has displayed great longevity in its selling power.
The "Superhero" campaign was conceived during my work on a new branding guide. Although our brand guidelines stress the importance of focuses marketing and communications on the educator and their needs, our materials only focused on our products. This campaign shows our audience that we respect the work they do and the knowledge they possess.
The campaign has had a high response rate and received accolades from members and the education community. The design has been picked up and used in several other marketing initiatives as well.
This past year, the Center for Disease Control came to ASCD for help in revising their school health model for the first time in 20 years. My team was tasked with creating a visual model that integrated the 10 CDC school health precepts with ASCD's 5 Whole Child tenets. The final model has been distributed to school systems across the U.S. and received with great enthusiasm.
Developed a number of ancillary products to support the roll-out of this program including a poster and informational brochure.
